The herbs in the composition affect the chemoreceptors in the large intestine, enhancing its motility through the action of anthraquinone glycosides. The effect is typically seen after 8–10 hours.
Frangula is the main component of the mixture and has a pronounced laxative effect.
Flaxseed is used as a gentle laxative and coating agent.
Chaga is used as a general tonic and mild laxative.
Chamomile harmonizes the work of the digestive organs.
Licorice acts as an anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic agent.
Motherwort in the evening blend has a calming effect.
Indications for use:
Acute constipation
Chronic constipation
Chronic spastic colitis
Dolichosigma (segmental colon elongation)
Contraindications:
Intestinal obstruction, neurogenic and endocrine constipation, acute abdominal conditions, fever, pregnancy, and breastfeeding.
Method of use:
“Alfit-5” morning: Pour 1 brick into 0.5–1 cup of boiling water. Let it steep for 5–10 minutes. No "water bath" is needed. Take in the morning, 0.5–1 cup of the warm infusion, 30 minutes before meals.
“Alfit-5” evening: Take in the evening, 30 minutes before meals, following the same method. It has a mild sedative effect.
For children under 10 years, it is recommended to take 1 tablespoon of the herbal infusion per year of age (for example, for a 4-year-old child, the recommended dose is 4 tablespoons of infusion).
Recommended courses of use:
1–3 months, 1–2 times a year.
Shelf life: 3 years.
