Honey Gaba Tea 50g

Gaba Alishan Honey is a very unusual, but delicious drink, discovered by the Japanese in the late 80s of the last century. The anaerobic fermentation technology invented by them was borrowed by masters from Taiwan, a state considered today to be the main supplier of Gaba. Even the tea got its name thanks to the mountainous region of Taiwan of the same name – Alishan, where it is grown.

Until now, in its details, the secret of the special technology of fermentation of Gaba boils down to the fact that for 10 hours the tea leaves are in a container deprived of air access. The result is a raw material that preserves a lot of active substances. But, the main thing that distinguishes Gaba Alishan is the presence of a large amount of gamma–aminobutyric acid, which gives tea unique properties. Hence its name – GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid).

Appearance

In dry form, tea is dark twisted leaves with cuttings. When brewed, a transparent drink of light yellow color is obtained.

Taste and aroma

Gaba Alishan Honey is a sweet tea with a honey flavor. However, it is not cloying, but, on the contrary, light and gentle. In taste, you can usually distinguish floral and herbaceous notes, less pronounced – fruit, berry (raspberries and blackberries) and bread. It opens gradually and has a long pleasant aftertaste with spice and a slight sourness, slightly reminiscent of apple or, according to some, wine. The aftertaste is long and fresh. The aroma is quite strong, with hints of honey and meadow flowers.
