Teguanin is the most famous and most classic of all oolongs.

The name of the tea in translation sounds like Guanyin Iron Bodhisattva. Such an unusual name is associated with a legend according to which a peasant from Anxi County, Fujian Province, tired of a long journey, found an unusual tea tree in the mountains.

The taste of the tea turned out to be so good, so strengthening and uplifting that the peasant considered it a gift from the merciful Bodhisattva Guanyin. And this is just one of the legends, there are many of them. Monks grew tea in this area during the Tang Dynasty (VII—IX centuries).

Taste qualities

The color of the infusion is light, transparent, amber-golden. The fragrance is bright, floral, with creamy notes. The taste of Te Guan Yin is noble, slightly honey-sweet, with a long aftertaste. Te Guan Yin, even more than other oolongs, gives a person the state that he needs at the moment: it helps to relax, then it promotes concentration. Te Guan Yin perfectly relieves stress. Weakly brewed – helps with insomnia.

The fragrance is the same bright, floral, with creamy notes.

This tea affects the body very gently. Tea experts say that Teguanyin gives a person a state that he needs at the moment: it helps to relax, then promotes concentration.
