Nutritional Yeast 100 g

Nutritional yeast consists of deactivated yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) that is used in the production of beer (brewer's yeast) and sourdough bread (baker's yeast). Nutritional yeast contains dead yeast cells that have no enzymatic or leavening properties.

Nutritional yeast is grown in large tanks of sugarcane or beet molasses. It is an excellent source of protein, B vitamins and minerals. It is also a rich source of compounds known as beta-glucans, which may support immune system and gastrointestinal health.
